"What a great find! We loved it. The all you can eat pork chops were out of this world. The entertainment was great. We can't wait to go back. "

"We absolutely love it! We eat at the Horst Gasthaus at least twice during each visit to MB. The food is wonderful, the prices are reasonable, the service is great, and the atmosphere is fun, casual, very friendly and relaxing. It's a unique dining experience far more enjoyable than many other restaurants."

"We found this place by accident and we love it. Now we go here every time we go to Myrtle. Food is authentic and well prepared. Place has real old world feel and waitresses are great. Be sure to save room for some Rudersheimer coffee.."

"After seeing a commercial for Horst Gasthaus on my hotel's commercial channel I decided to give it a try. It was worth the drive up from Myrtle Beach for sure. The atmosphere was different from all the other beach stuff around and it was a nice change of pace. It felt like i was dining in a German cottage. The food was wonderful. I had a "sampler" type plate that was comprised of Bratwurts, Knackwurts, Sauerbraten, Red Cabbage, a Dumpling, and Sauerkraut. All had distinct, clean flavors and seemed to be fresh. My wife had a plate of diced pork & peppers and she thought hers was wonderful as well. She really enjoyed the Sauerkraut. "

"We found the service to be great and very family friendly for my two year old son. I felt the price was very fair for what we got. We plan on returning the next time we vacation in Myrtle Beach."

Best Meal of the Week
We have eaten at Captain George's, Thorny's, Tony Rama's, Ella's in Calabash, NC and Senor Frog's this week. Neither was as delicious as Horst Gasthaus. I was hesitant about taking my wife and two teenage girls to this restaurant, but we ALL thoroughly enjoyed it. The girls had chicken parmigiana. They both ate every bite. My wife and I had traditional sausage combination with sauerkraut. It was definitely the BEST meal of the week. You can't go wrong. Go in and ask for Kathy. She was a great waitress and served us well. The entertainment guy is from Ohio and he can REALLY play the accordian!! It was a complete package and great experience."

Absolutely LOVED this place!!!
We stumbled upon this locale by watching the Horst Gasthaus commercial on the public access TV station. We are so glad we did!!! The food is excellent, with a wide variety of menu options. All six of us enjoyed every bit of our meal. The service was friendly and the atmosphere made you feel as if you were actually in Germany. The ohm pah music and accordion only added to the ambiance. Great place, with outstanding food, and guaranteed fun evening."
